England all-rounder Danni Wyatt has said she is happy to continue opening the batting in one-day internationals.

Wyatt, who has opened in five of her eight one-day innings, will tour South Africa with England later this month.

"Hopefully I'll be opening the batting again in the first game," the 20-year-old told BBC Radio Stoke.

"I've set myself a target to score my first 50 for England. I've been working hard in the nets so hopefully I'll be successful over there."

Wyatt, who plays for Staffordshire, has a highest score of 30 in the 50-over format and 27 in Twenty20 matches.

England will play three one-day internationals and three T20 games during their tour of South Africa, as part of the preparation for next year's T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka.

"Every tour and every game that we play now is leading up to that tournament next September," said Wyatt. "It starts from now, we've got a lot of matches coming up and every game means a lot."
