India warmed up for their limited-overs internationals against England with a comfortable six-wicket win over Sussex at Hove.
RP Singh picked up 4-45 as the home side were bowled out for 236.
Chasing a revised target of 235 in 45 overs, India got home with 25 balls to spare, with Virat Kohli, Parthiv Patel and Rohit Sharma all passing 50.
India meet Kent on Friday before one Twenty20 and five one-day internationals against England.
Sussex had earlier threatened to post a more challenging total after useful contributions from Matt Machan (58), Ben Brown (48) and Joe Gatting (46).
But when Brown slogged at Munaf Patel and was caught by Suresh Raina, the hosts lost their last five wickets for 18 runs in 19 balls.
The home crowd were left disappointed when Sachin Tendulkar mis-timed a Chris Liddle slower ball to mid-on.
But Kohli (71) shared stands of 63 with Parthiv (55) and 104 with Sharma (61 not out) to guide India to their first win of the tour.
