|Notts 21pts, Durham 3pts|
Durham's title hopes were dealt a big blow as they lost to reigning county champions Nottinghamshire by 67 runs at Trent Bridge.
Resuming at 20-1, needing 301 more to win, Andre Adams struck twice to leave Durham in trouble at 35-3.
Mark Stoneman kept the visitors in the hunt with 74, aided by Paul Collingwood (33) and Ian Blackwell (31).
But, despite tail ender Mark Wood holding Notts up with 45, Durham were bowled out for 253.
Adams ended up with 3-54 for a six-wicket haul in the match, while young spinner Graeme White again improved his career best, taking 4-72 for match figures of 7-89.
Durham's three bowling points take them closer to table-topping Lancashire, who they now trail by 10 points with just two games left - and the leaders have a game in hand.
