Nottinghamshire bowler Luke Fletcher has signed a new three-year contract.
The 22-year-old Nottingham-born seamer turned down offers from two other counties and was delighted to be staying at Trent Bridge until 2014.
"I was always keen to stay with Nottinghamshire and I'm pleased to have the security of a three-year contract," said Fletcher.
"There are a lot of talented players here and we want to get back in the hunt for trophies."
Fletcher, who has taken 29 wickets in the County Championship wickets this season, made his first-class debut in 2008 and has established himself in all formats.
Director of cricket Mick Newell added: "We've seen a steady improvement from Luke ever since he broke into the team and now he needs to make the transition to become a senior player in our ranks.
"He has played very well this season and caused problems for a number of accomplished batsmen. He has proved effective with the new ball and he's earned this contract on merit."
