Gloucestershire captain Alex Gidman has been reported for dissent towards the umpire during their County Championship game with Essex.
Gidman was given out LBW for 29 during Thursday's play by Steve Gale, who the day before had reversed a decision to give out Essex's Ryan ten Doeschate.
"It was something that happened in the heat of the moment and I accept the outcome," he told the club website.
"It is the first time anything like that has happened to me in my career."
He added: "The umpire had changed his mind over a decision on the first day and I gave him the opportunity to do the same again. He insisted I hadn't hit the ball and that was it.
"At the close of play I was called in and told I was in breach of the ECB code of conduct. I was informed that I could appeal, but that won't be happening and the matter is closed."
Gidman is unlikely to incur any further punishment from the club as fines or suspensions are only handed out for repeated disciplinary infringements.
