Dorset must beat Oxfordshire - Sean Walbridge

Dorset boss Sean Walbridge says his side must beat Oxfordshire this weekend if they are to have any chance of retaining their Minor Counties title.

Dorset sit third in the Western Division, 11 points below leaders Berkshire with just three matches left.

"It's definitely a must win so the guys shouldn't need motivating," Walbridge told BBC Radio Solent.

"Oxfordshire will be a tough nut to crack, but if we play to our potential then we have a good chance of winning."

Dorset have not played since their defeat by Herefordshire on 12 July and Walbridge says this weekend's fixture cannot come soon enough.

"Sometimes it's nice to get time away and take stock of things, but sometimes you just want to get out there and play again," he said.

"We need to get defeat that out of our system, so hopefully the guys will be raring to go by this weekend and we'll go out there and play to our full potential."
