Durham all-rounder Paul Collingwood is set to miss the next two FL t20 matches with a groin injury.
The 35-year-old, who was dropped from the England limited-overs squad this week, suffered the injury in the four-day game against Yorkshire.
Coach Geoff Cook told BBC Newcastle: "He's going for a scan and probably won't play in the Twenty20 matches on Friday and Sunday.
"Hopefully he will be ready to play in the next four-day match next week."
The all-rounder scored a century in Durham's draw this week, which was his first Championship match of the season.
Collingwood will have to sit out Friday's game at home to Lancashire and the visit of Leicestershire on Sunday.
The former England T20 captain has played four innings in the 20-over format of the game this season with a top score of eight, and has taken four wickets at an average of 6.45.
