Leicestershire head coach Phil Whitticase has hailed the contribution of Jigar Naik in his side's 89-run win over Glamorgan.
Naik scored 67 as he helped rescue Leicestershire from 43-5 with Will Jefferson (112), and then took 5-36.
Whitticase told the club's website: "We applauded Will's century because it was an excellent performance.
"Will would be the first person to realise the contribution made by Jigar in helping him get to that hundred."
The 26-year-old helped the home side post a second-innings total of 245 all out, to set Glamorgan 338 to win.
"Jigar then put in a great performance to pick up five wickets, which was fantastic," added Whitticase.
"It's always a big plus for the club to get the first game at home and to go on and win it and take 20 points is great."
