Kent have signed seamer Charlie Shreck from county champions Nottinghamshire on a one-month loan deal.
The 33-year-old is expected to go straight into Kent's side for their County Championship Division Two opener against Essex, which starts on Friday.
Shreck made his Notts debut in 2003 and has taken 307 first-class wickets during his career.
He said: "I am grateful to Kent for providing me with an opportunity to play first-team cricket."
Shreck, who took 18 wickets in helping Notts win the title last summer, added: "My aim is to make a positive contribution in Kent's early fixtures and to return to Notts in good form."
Nottinghamshire have plenty of pace bowling options, with Paul Franks, Andre Adams, Darren Pattinson, Ben Phillips, Luke Fletcher and Andy Carter all vying for places in the attack when they start the defence of their title next week.
