Don't know what all the fuss is about, Parker couldn't even dispose of Hughie Fury! It went to a split decision so I honestly don't think AJ or his camp will be worrying too much about Parker!!
The heavyweight division now has genuine interest in it, which has to be great for the sport !Good luck to both men, as they both seem decent !!
@127 Joshua fought him at the right time. That is part of the game. I am no fan of either Klitschko and was happy to see Joshua win. A five years younger Klitschko would finish Joshua ... then again, if my auntie had balls and so on. Joshua doesn't have to be great, just better than anyone else around, which he is. Does he trouble greats like Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Tyson, Louis? No chance.
Dillian Whyte will smash Joshua in a rematch
All this guff about how much Joshua eats and how much sex he has before a fight. He’s going to look like a prize plum if he loses this one. I would like to see that.
@121 Klitschko was getting on a bit - but that cuts both ways, yes physically he wasn't at his peak but in terms of experience he was and that in itself was test which AJ coped with.
AJ needs to concentrate on the Parker fight at the moment, he doesn't want to start thinking about Wilder, that fight will eventually come. If AJ wins the WBO belt he's just Wilder's WBC belt short of becoming undisputed heavyweight champion, all the more reason for him not to lose focus on the Parker fight, shocks have happened before in boxing, if AJ stays focused he'll win by knockout.
AJ is over rated
"31. Posted by merkx66 Wilder is running, he's never tried to unify the titles. He has a choice to fight Whyte as a tune but won't cos Whyte will destroy him."Why would Wilder need a tune up fight, he fought and won in March against Ortiz? Do you also think AJ needs a tune up fight before facing Wilder seeing as he is also fighting in March?
Many people on hear haven’t got about boxing. How can people compare AJ to LL. Lennox thought the best, avoided no one, he went into the Americans back yard but AJ won’t fight in America. He is doing another nassem fighting has been or bums. Fight Wilder or Fury and AJ will get a real boxing lesson. AJ needs to prove himself against the best and so far he hasn’t done that.
No one gave Raham a chance against Lewis look what happened! All the talk is on AJ but that will suit Parker.
@117 Klitschko was getting on a bit by last summer. He still gave Joshua plenty of trouble, putting him down once. A younger Klitschko would have put him down AND finished him. I don't think that Joshua has fitness problems, but he is carrying a lot of muscle, so he will tire if taken to the later rounds. Parker will need to defy expectation to do that though. I see a mid rounds AJ stoppage.
