England Boxing appoint ex-Cardiff City chief Gethin Jenkins as new CEO
England Boxing has appointed ex-Cardiff City and Newport Gwent Dragons boss Gethin Jenkins as chief executive.
Jenkins spent six years at Newport, before becoming chief executive of Championship side Cardiff from May 2010 to October 2011.
The 46-year-old was also head of event delivery for the organising committee of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
England Boxing chairman Caspar Hobbs said Jenkins has a "proven track record of leading a sporting organisation".
Jenkins replaces Paul Porter who left England Boxing at the start of 2017.
