Sugar Ray Robinson was the man. Anything else really does pail into insignificance.

To win that many fights and hardly get hit is a massive achievement in boxing. Maybe he is the best ever but the most liked not so sure. I say stay retired and rest on whatever you have an continue to be more humble with no nothing else to prove.
I wouldn't say floyd was close to being the best. Maybe if he fought consistently, like he did below 140, then maybe. However, if your mad enough to want to see him fight again, you really must be insane. Mayweathers fights are the same thing over and over again! Snooze/hug fests. Are you expecting a different result?! Then your insane!!
Floyd was a great fighter, the best probably of all time. However let's be honest he is not an entertaining fighter - even for the boxing purist who appreciate all the intricate skills of a good boxer, Floyd has not had a KO since Victor Ortiz. The great thing about boxing is that the biggest names do not make the best fights - how many saw St Juste vs Lafreniere in Montreal for example?
The ONLY time Floyd made 'nine-figures' in a fight was when he fought Manny Pacquiao, and that is the only way he could do it again. By the way, Manny also made nine-figures, but doesn't go on talking about it over and over and over. Floyd you're a goof.
@ClippityNot sure if you read any of my last post, but the fact you are trying to defend Diaz (a fighter with 9 losses in 15 fights) as a credible opponent for Khan, should show you where you are with this.Khan has almost become irrelevant as a boxer, for whatever reason; probably because he is scared of getting hit, or greedy
Mayweather probably is the best boxer ever, due to his record and technique, but he's not the greatest. Personally I found his fights quite boring as he was content to go to the judges since he knew he would outbox anyone.. The greatest imo is Muhammad Ali, an icon who transcended the sport of boxing to become one of the most famous people on the planet. Most dangerous would be Mike Tyson.
Firstly Maidana is rated at both WW and LW and also KO'd Jesus Karass who beat Berto. Secondly Diaz had just drawn with Shawn Porter before he fought Khan (I suppose he is another fighter that cant punch)Finally if we get back on subject looking at Berto's boxing record and ranking why he was more of a valid opponent than Khan. Its clear Khan is a much superior fighter
The man lacks on thing which the best always have, and that's class.
