Britain's Joe Cordina and Josh Kelly overcame Australian opposition in the first round at the World Amateur Boxing Championships in Doha.

Welshman Cordina, 23, beat Joshua Keirl 3-0 in the 60kg division, while England's Kelly, 21, beat Nathan Webber 3-0 in the 69kg division.

English light-heavyweight (81kg) Joshua Buatsi advanced into the last 16.

Britain has eight boxers in Doha, with 23 qualification places available for next year's Olympic Games in Rio.

Buatsi scored a 3-0 points win over South Korea's Hyeongkyu Kim.
