Super-heavyweight boxer Joe Joyce has strengthened his bid to qualify for the Rio Olympics with a fifth win in the World Series of Boxing (WSB).
Commonwealth Games gold medallist Joyce scored a unanimous points victory over Moroccan Abdeljalil Abouhamda at York Hall in London on Thursday.
The win leaves Joyce, 29, top of his WSB qualifying group - finishing top would secure a place at Rio 2016.
Despite Joyce's win, British Lionhearts went down 3-2 to Morocco Atlas Lions.
"My two main rivals box each other this weekend and the right result could mean I stay top of the rankings," said Joyce. "There are quite a few permutations, though, so we will just have to see what happens and assess the situation after they have boxed."
The Lionhearts' next fixture is away to the Algeria Desert Hawks on Friday, 27 March.
