Alison Merrien on course to defend Bowls World Cup title
Defending World Cup champion Alison Merrien has remained on course to retain her title in Australia.
Guernsey's Merrien beat Singapore's Li Li Leng and Canada's Kelly McKerihen in rounds seven and eight in the pool stage of the tournament.
It leaves her second in the group with two matches remaining.
In the men's draw Ian Merrien, Alison's husband, beat Hong Kong's Ken Chan to go top of his section with four matches still to play.
