Plymouth Raiders edge victory over Durham Wildcats

Paul Williams

Plymouth Raiders sealed a narrow 96-85 victory over Durham Wildcats.

Depite sitting bottom of the BBL table, Durham made it a close encounter with none of the first three quarters being won by more than two points.

Paul Williams top-scored for the hosts with 22 points and 12 rebounds, but James Jones was the hero in the final quarter, hitting back-to-back three-pointers to give them the edge.

Paul Elderkin led the Wildcats' scoring with 19 points.

The win means Plymouth stay third in the league, two points off second-place Worcester Wolves.
