Europeans gold boosts Evgeni Plushenko comeback

Russia's Evgeni Plushenko wins gold at the European Figure Skating Championships in Sheffield, scoring a personal-best 176.52 points in the free skate, pushing compatriot Artur Gachinski into second.

Plushenko retired after the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics where he took silver, but is mounting a comeback for the the 2014 Games in Sochi, Russia.

The 29-year-old danced to music from the film Moulin Rouge, and scored 261.23, his highest-ever overall mark.
