US Open: Andy Murray blames missed opportunities for exit

Andy Murray says his failure to "capitalise on opportunities" was the reason for his US Open fourth-round exit to Kevin Anderson.

The defeat was the Briton's earliest Grand Slam exit for five years as he lost a gruelling four-set contest lasting four hours and 18 minutes.

Murray admits he was on "the back foot" for most of the match against the South African, who now faces Stan Wawrinka in his first major quarter-final.
