Britain's Andrew Murray loses his ATP World Tour Finals opener to Spain's David Ferrer in straight sets, 6-4 7-5.

The British number one needed treatment on a groin injury during their Group A clash at the O2 Arena after aggravating a groin injury and will decide on Tuesday whether to pull out of the event.

Defeat leaves Murray facing an uphill struggle to qualify for the semi-finals with world number one Novak Djokovic and Tomas Berdych still awaiting.
