Sansum exits Taekwondo worlds at last 16 stage

Former kick boxing world champion Damon Sansum is left stunned by a late head shot in a 7-6 loss to Russia's Anton Kotkov - which cost him the chance of competing for a World Taekwondo medal in Puebla, Mexico.

Sansum, 26, was recruited by the GB Taekwondo squad through the UK Sport-backed 'Fighting Chance' initiative in 2010 and has since claimed two international titles.

However, there was to be no repeat of that success as the -80kg fighter exited in the last-16. He tells BBC Sport's Nick Hope that he now wants to make up for the defeat at the inaugural World Taekwondo Series event in Manchester at the end of the year.
