Sports Personality: Why Andy Murray should win 2013 award

During the countdown to the 60th BBC Sports Personality of the Year award on Sunday, 15 December, we will be looking at each of the 10 shortlisted contenders.

In 2013, Andy Murray became the first British winner of the men's singles title at Wimbledon since Fred Perry in 1936. He also reached the final of the Australian Open, won the Miami Masters title for the second time in his career and helped Great Britain's Davis Cup team return to the World Group.
