Para-cyclist David Smith vows to get back on bike after surgery

Para-cyclist David Smith had life saving surgery to remove a tumour from his spine but is already talking about getting back on a bike and how he dreams of one day again wearing a British team jersey.

The operation ended his hopes of competing at the Paralympics in Rio, but he is not a beaten man.

The 37-year-old from Aviemore allowed BBC Scotland cameras into the hospital where he is starting his recovery, as Jane Lewis reports.
