John Dawes: Former captain and coach ‘a central figure’ in Wales’ golden era

John Dawes, who has died aged 80, was a Grand Slam winner with Wales as a captain and coach.

He also captained the Lions on the 1971 tour of New Zealand, still the Lions' only series win over the All Blacks.
