'Rebuilding starts now' says Irish boss

New London Irish director of rugby Nick Kennedy has targeted an immediate return to the Premiership, although admits life in the Championship will be "tough".

Irish were relegated from the top flight after winning just four out of 22 games last season.

"We're under no illusions," said Kennedy, who replaced Tom Coventry last month having gained his coaching experience managing the club's academy.

"We've got a huge challenge next year," the 34-year-old former Exiles and England lock told BBC Sport. "The rebuilding starts now."
