Ireland success leaves Craig Gilroy with 'mixed emotions'

Craig Gilroy is hoping to give Ulster coach Mark Anscombe a selection headache on his return to fitness ahead of an important series of games for the province.

The wing accepted that it will be difficult to nail down a starting berth in the forthcoming Pro12 and Heineken Cup games, with Tommy Bowe available again after long-term injury and Andrew Trimble back with Ulster after an outstanding Six Nations tournament with Ireland.

Gilroy admitted that he was left with 'mixed emotions' after missing out on Ireland's Six Nations championship success and vowed to reclaim a place in Joe Schmidt's squad in the future.
