World Rowing Championships: Joel Cassells 'ecstatic' after gold

Coleraine rower Joel Cassells is thrilled after he and his British team-mate Sam Scrimgeour clinch lightweight pairs gold at the World Championships in France.

The lightweight pairs is a non-Olympic class but the performances of Cassells and Scrimgeour could put them in contention for promotion to one of Britain's Rio berths for next year.

"It's brilliant. It's my first (world) gold so this is going to be special," said the 21-year-old Northern Irishman.
