Hickman praise for Goddard display

Former Olympic finalist James Hickman tells BBC Radio Manchester that James Goddard approached his Olympic 200m individual medley final in the right manner.

Facing the formidable American duo of Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte, Goddard attacked the first half of the race, but later faded and finished seventh.

Stockport-born Hickman, who competed in three Olympic Games for Great Britain between 1996 and 2004, also believes Great Britain's swimmers will "have wanted to do better", having returned just two medals in the pool so far at London 2012.
