Cooke expects Team GB 'sacrifice'

Defending women's road race Olympic champion Nicole Cooke says the GB cycling team will "ride for each other" and says there will be moments in the London 2012 competition where she will sacrifice her chances for another rider, but expects the same in return from her team-mates if race events require.

Cooke won the first of GB's gold medals at Beijing in 2008, but since then Lizzie Armitstead has taken over as team leader.

That means Cooke could have to sacrifice her ambitions to help Armitstead chase down gold at London 2012. The pair have had differences in the past, including a falling out after the 2011 World Championships in Copenhagen.
