Europa League joy for Crusaders

Crusaders are confident they can progress to the second qualifying round of the Europa League after beating Lithuanian side Ekranas 3-1 in Thursday's first leg at Seaview.

Stephen Cockcroft, 20, scored the opening goal on his debut for Crusaders and felt he acquitted himself well.

Assistant manager Jeff Spiers and captain Colin Coates were disappointed the team conceded a late goal, which gave Ekranas an important away goal, Spiers putting it down to "a wee bit of tiredness at the end".
