Colin Oates disappointed to miss Judo World Championships medals

Britain's Colin Oates still believes he can win medals, despite missing out on bronze at this year's Judo World Championships in Paris, where he finished a career-best fifth.

Oates, who has already secured a European bronze medal and national title this year, defeated the world number 13 David Larose on his way to his bronze medal match-up, but lost to world number four Musa Mogushkov.

The Olympic hopeful adds he was pleased with his consistency and believes he is in a strong position for London 2012 selection.
