A record five Irish golfers will compete the Great Britain & Ireland team at the Walker Cup at Royal Lytham & St Annes this weekend.
The opening ceremony takes place on Friday, followed by two days play on Saturday and Sunday.
Cormac Sharvin, 22, from Ardglass, will make his debut at the event alongside Jack Hume, Gary Hurley, Gavin Moynihan, and Paul Dunne, who was the joint final round leader at the Open Championship this year.
Sharvin had had a very successful season - the highlight winning one of amateur golf's most prestigious tournaments, the Brabazon Trophy.
He was also second in the Irish Amateur Championship and tied for second in the Lytham trophy.
