Irish Open: Graeme McDowell opens with 72 on 'beast of a course'

Northern Ireland players Graeme McDowell, Michael Hoey and Darren Clarke reflect on their first rounds at the Irish Open at Royal County Down.

McDowell bogeyed the final three holes of his round to lie on one over par on what he calls "a beast of a course".

Hoey was happy with his level-par 71 but Clarke conceded that he had "a pretty poor day and didn't play well or putt well".
