Graeme McDowell is 'proud' to play in front of home support

Graeme McDowell believes the Irish Open is a celebration of the success Irish golfers have achieved in recent years.

McDowell admitted he did not enjoy playing in Irish Open tournaments in the past but now embraces the expectation of the Irish crowd.

McDowell was disappointed with his putting after carding an opening round of one under par at Carton House but says he is looking forward to attacking the course on Friday.
