Graeme McDowell crashes out of US Open after missing cut

Former champion Graeme McDowell misses the cut at the US Open after ending his second round on 13 over par at Merion.

The Northern Ireland golfer followed his opening round of 76 with a 77 on what he described as "an extremely difficult course".

"I never got to grips with this course and if you're not on top of your game, it will eat you alive. There was no facet of my game that I was happy with," said McDowell.
