Get Inspired: Meet the amazing 'Unsung Heroes' of 2014
Now in its 12th year, the BBC Get Inspired Unsung Hero Award recognises and rewards outstanding contribution from those within local grassroots sport.
Winners have been chosen from each of the BBC's 15 Nations and English Regions, and they will join the sporting icons of today at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2014 event in Glasgow on Sunday evening.
During the show, one of them will be awarded the overall 'Unsung Hero' award for the UK - but all of them (see list below) are amazing, inspirational people.
East of England: Derek Beaumont - diving coach at Hatfield Swim Centre
East Midlands: Jill Stidever - swimming coach in Leicestershire
London: Dave Dunsford - judo coach from Sidcup
North East: Graeme Mark - coach at Talkin Tarn Rowing Club
North West: Yvonne Mills -set up Roch Valley Raiders BMX club
Northern Ireland: Mervyn Smyth - Ballinamallard United
Scotland: Janice and George Graham - judo/ indoor bowls in Edinburgh
South: Bernard Wilkins - coach at Abingdon Athletics Club, Oxfordshire
South East: Frank New - badminton coach in Folkestone
South West; Simon Gifford-Mead - Dart Totnes Amateur Rowing Club
Wales: Bill Marlow - Mid Wales Orienteering Club
West of England: Bev and Chris Maull - Swindon Spitfires Football Club
West Midlands: Denis Neenan - Erin Go Bragh club in Erdington
Yorkshire: Bert Beaumont - basketball coach, Darfield Dunkers
Yorkshire & Lincolnshire: Roger Tanner - coach at East Riding Badminton club
