Scotland hosts a successful Commonwealth Championships

More than 300 of the world's most skilled fencers descended upon Largs for the 11th Commonwealth Fencing Championships.

Scotland's Jessica Corby (16) took part in her first ever Commonwealth competition and finished in 13th place in the women's sabre event.

Team Scotland finished with a total of 10 medals and Scottish Fencing will be hoping to maintain the increased interest in the activity - which has been described as one of the world's fastest sports.
