Football League Division Two: Tony Scullion relieved as Derry earn Laois draw

Derry coach Tony Scullion admits the Oak Leafers can consider themselves fortunate to have earned a 5-10 to 1-22 draw against Laois in Sunday's exciting Division Two Football League game in Laois.

The draw keeps Derry's promotion hopes alive as they are one point behind Cavan and Galway, who both occupy second spot, behind already-promoted Tyrone.

Scullion praised Derry keeper Thomas Mallon who regrouped from an early mistake to make a couple of vital saves at O'Moore Park.
