Grimley brands Armagh brawl a 'wee tiff'

Armagh manager Paul Grimley says the brawl involving virtually all the players which broke out before the start Armagh's Ulster Championship game with Cavan was "nothing really serious".

"Whenever you get 15 boys hyped up and they are training so hard and the tempo and the aggro is there, the adrenaline is flowing, you are going to get wee tiffs like that. But that's all it was," Grimley told BBC Sport Northern Ireland.

The Armagh manager added that he didn't believed his players had "crossed the line" during the incident although the expectation is that the GAA's disciplinary authorities will investigate the brawl and could impose suspensions.

Grimley added:"We'll have to wait and see what happens but from what I saw, there were 30 players involved in it. Are they going to suspend them all?"

Armagh won the game 1-12 to 0-9 to set up an Ulster Final against either Tyrone or Monaghan.
