Singapore Grand Prix: Webber's lift with Alonso earns him penalty

Red Bull's Mark Webber hitches a lift back to the podium with Ferrari's Fernando Alonso after retiring on the final lap of the Singapore Grand Prix.

The Australian had been fighting Kimi Raikkonen for the final podium place when his car caught fire, forcing him to stop and leaving him stranded on the side of the circuit.

To compound Webber's misery, he was then hit with a ten-place grid penalty for the next race in Korea, as hitching the lift back to the pits is against Formula 1's rules and the incident is his third infringement of the season, following a collision in Bahrain with Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg and not slowing down sufficiently enough for yellow caution flags in Canada.
