Singapore Grand Prix: What makes it so spectacular?

Ahead of this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix, BBC Sport's Tom Bowker assesses what makes Formula 1's only night race so exciting.

The first Grand Prix at Marina Bay in 2008 turned out to be one of Formula 1's darkest days, with Renault given a two-year suspended ban from the sport in the wake of the 'crash-gate' race-fixing scandal.

But despite those unfortunate beginnings, the second-slowest circuit on the calendar after Monaco has captivated drivers and fans alike thanks to its spectacular setting and party atmosphere.
