Fernando Alonso: Ferrari 'need to improve' after second in Canada

Fernando Alonso says his Ferrari team "need to improve" if they are to challenge for wins over the remainder of the season, following his second-placed finish in Canada.

The Spaniard points to his qualifying performance as the reason he was unable to challenge Sebastian Vettel for victory, but says Ferrari must improve their one-lap pace if they are to challenge Red Bull for victories.

The 2005 and 2006 world champion now lies 36 points adrift of championship leader Vettel after seven races of the season.
