Paul di Resta surprised by life of tyres after huge Canada stint

Paul Di Resta admits he "didn't think his tyres would last that long" after completing a 57-lap stint at the Canadian Grand Prix.

The marathon first stint on the medium compound tyres enabled the Force India driver to move up from a lowly 17th on the grid to finish seventh in the team's 100th Grand Prix.

The Scot now lies eighth in the driver's championship after seven races of the season.
