Japanese GP: Kamui Kobayashi vows to fight for podium

Kamui Kobayashi vows he will "fight" to stand on the podium for the first time after securing a second-row start ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix.

The Sauber driver was fourth-fastest in qualifying behind the Red Bulls of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber, but will start in third because Jenson Button has a five-place grid penalty for changing the gearbox in his McLaren.

Kobayashi's best finish in Formula 1 to date was fourth place at the German Grand Prix in July 2012.
