Japanese GP qualifying - top three drivers

Sebastian Vettel declares himself very happy after claiming pole position for the Japanese Grand Prix with a dominant performance at Suzuka.

The reigning world champion describes qualifying as a "near perfect" session and is hopeful of continuing his good form into Sunday's race.

Vettel's team-mate Mark Webber was second and is delighted to be back on the front row after recent struggles in qualifying.

McLaren's Jenson Button was third quickest and says he had no chance of matching the pace of the Red Bull's.

Button will start eighth as he has a five-place grid penalty for changing his gearbox after the Singapore Grand Prix.
