New Ballymena boss David Jeffrey motivated by 'fresh challenge'

Newly-appointed Ballymena United manager David Jeffrey says he accepted the position at the Showgrounds because he is motivated by the prospect of a "fresh challenge".

Jeffrey, 53, agreed a three-year deal with the Showgrounds club on Monday night and succeeds Glenn Ferguson, who was sacked by the Warden Street Club a week previously.

The former Linfield boss has been out of management for two years after guiding the Windsor Park outfit to 31 trophies during a 17-year tenure.
