Reading boss Brian McDermott says two 'good characters' have joined the club after George Evans and Yann Kermorgant arrived at the Madejski Stadium this week.
Evans, 21, signed from Manchester City on Tuesday and McDermott said: "We think he's going to develop into a really strong player for us. There's a lot to like about George."
McDermott was also pleased to have signed the experienced Yann Kermorgant from Bournemouth. "He's a great character that young players can look up to on and off the pitch," McDermott added.
Asked by BBC Radio Berkshire whether 34-year-old Kermorgant would be in direct competition with Matej Vydra up-front, the ex-Leeds United boss said he had "thought about different combinations, to try and see what works."
