NI manager Michael O'Neill welcomes IFA Youth Strategy

Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill welcomes the introduction of the IFA Youth Strategy which aims to increase participation levels in the sport.

O'Neill calls the strategy to address grassroots development "a very significant initiative" and hopes that it will "equip young footballers with the skills to survive in the professional game".

Reflecting on Monday's 1-1 European Championship qualifying draw with Hungary, O'Neill concedes that the referee was "probably justified" in making the decision he made.

He adds that he will be keeping a special eye on his attacking players in the coming weeks given that top scorer Kyle Lafferty is suspended for the visit of Greece to Windsor Park on 8 October.
