Sunderland's Premier League survival is crucial - Dick Advocaat

Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat says it is "crucial" that the club ensure their Premier League survival so that they can build for the future.

The Black Cats travel to Arsenal on Wednesday before facing champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, knowing that a solitary point from those two fixtures will guarantee the club's top flight status for next season.

But two defeats will give Hull and Newcastle the chance to condemn Sunderland to the Championship.

Despite the difficult opposition to come, Advocaat believes his side have nothing to lose and will get more space to exploit against the bigger sides, which gives them the chance of pulling off an upset.
