Champions League: Arsenal defending suicidal - Arsene Wenger
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger describes his side as defensively "suicidal" after they slumped to a shock 3-1 home defeat in their Champions League last-16 first leg with Monaco.
The Ligue 1 side took the lead in the first half through Geoffrey Kondogbia's deflected shot before former Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov added the second just after the break. Arsenal substitute Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's stoppage-time goal gave the Gunners a lifetime, but there was still time for Yannick Ferreira Carrasco to add a third Monaco goal on the counter.
Wenger says "the heart took over the head" and admits the club now have a much smaller chance of making the quarter-finals, but insists the Gunners will "go for it" in the second leg.
