Carver reveals Bolasie called him to apologise after Dummett injury

John Carver says Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie called him to apologise after his clash with Paul Dummett left the defender facing a 10-12 week absence with a knee injury.

The Newcastle manager says Bolasie is not responsible for the injury and insists it was a "freak accident".

Carver reveals he still offers tips and guidance to DR Congo star Bolasie, who was a player at Plymouth Argyle when Carver was assistant manager.
